Volunteer Voices

The Nashville group  had a great meeting this month with volunteers brainstorming enthusiastically and throwing out some great ideas. Best of all, projects and project leaders were selected and locked down for upcoming events like a door hanger event in May led by group member, Lindsey. One volunteer also made a thermometer chart for the group to track their progress towards their $20,000 fundraising goal for the year. And the whole team produced all of this creativity and planning while still having fun…and rumors of an interesting baby kangaroo story have leaked as well.

Brentwood group had good attendance for lots of key discussion topics this month. Volunteer Jamie reported on church involvement, Cindy discussed idea of hosting a “shower” to provide essential need items as well as educate participants, and Sandra discussed the Hannah Project as well as her work as ESTN’s social media managing assistant. The group also discussed the Big PaybackRide for RefugeVolgisticsBe The Jam, and the Kohlmeyer sentencing. At the end the group huddled and broke shouting “Freedom!”

The Mt Juliet volunteers had a productive meeting planning their first community awareness event. The team plans to watch the recently showcased documentary No Girl’s Dream at their next group meeting.
