Memphis - July 27, 2013: Three arrested in sex trafficking operation

(WMC-TV) - It's a sad story that police say is all too common in the Mid-South.

A tearful Freida Wright is despondent over her daughter's plight.

"The charges that they have against my daughter, I don't think it's right," cried Wright.

Daughter Charlisa Wright just turned 18-year-old and she's in jail on a $100,000 bond. Wright is accused of advertising the sexual services of a 14-year-old girl on

The Memphis Police Department and the Federal Bureau of Investigators state they are "targeting people (who are) selling minors on the Internet."

Wright thinks her daughter's boyfriend, Trenton Mitchell, is to blame.

"I think he was forcing them and I was telling everybody I think it's the drugs," said Wright.

Trenton Mitchell and Rodney Armstrong (one of Freida Wright's friends) are also in custody after being caught at the hotel.

Frieda Wright's little sister hopes she breaks the cycle.

"That's my big sister. I love her and...I hope she (does) well when she get outta jail and (goes) to church with us on Sunday," stated Simone Beecher.
