Social Media Intern

Purpose: To further the mission of End Slavery Tennessee by assisting with social media outreach and strategy

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist in creating and implementing a social media strategy
  • Content creation and scheduling using Buffer
  • Contribute to website redesign projects using Squarespace
  • Monitor analytics to identify viable ideas
  • Assist in planning, writing and managing monthly Newsletter

General Requirements:

  • Have a baseline knowledge about ESTN and the issue of local human trafficking;
  • Have a great attitude and good sense of humor;
  • Be self-motivated and team player with the ability to remain flexible, and adjust to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment;
  • Have self-discipline and time management skills necessary to work independently;
  • An interest in marketing, communications, or social media;
  • In-depth working knowledge of key social media tools (e.g. Twitter and Facebook) and with Microsoft Office products (e.g. Word, PowerPoint, Excel);
  • An effective communicator, both written and oral;
  • Currently be working towards a degree at a university, college, or trade school, in Communications, Marketing, Business Administration, or related field;

Work Schedule/Time Commitment:

  • 10-15 hours/week 
  • Flexible schedule with exact days and times to be determined according to your school schedule before start date.
  • This internship is not paid.
