If you could invent a holiday, it would definitely involve ______________?

A massive dance party.

What are your three favorite podcasts and/or books?

Two of my favorite books are Outliers by Malcolm Gladwell and The Giver by Lois Lowry. A favorite podcast of mine is Hysteria.

What are you currently binge watching?

I’m obsessed with Big Little Lies and Brooklyn Nine-Nine at the moment.

What can you be found doing in your free time?

Sewing, singing Broadway karaoke in my kitchen and/or eating tasty foods.

What does your job look like day-to-day?

A lot of the time I’m working with our financials whether that’s managing expenses, bookkeeping or completing financial reports for grants. I also manage day to day operations of the organization, manage insurance, oversee human resources and I basically have a Doctorate in fixing the printer. 

What’s the most inspiring part of your job?

I love watching the organization grow and flourish. It’s inspiring because there is real systemic change happening and I love seeing our community continue to support these survivors and fight for their wellbeing.

Where did you go to college? What did you get your degree in?

For my undergraduate degree I attended Trevecca Nazarene University and received a Bachelor’s in Business Administration with a concentration in Community Development. I received my Master’s in Business Administration from Middle Tennessee State University.

What path led you to work at End Slavery Tennessee?

I always knew I wanted to work for a nonprofit but wasn’t sure in what capacity. Through college I worked with another Human Trafficking organization and became very passionate about this issue. I was excited to find a position at ESTN where I utilize both my skills and passion.
