Derri Smith represented nonprofit organizations at a November 2011 panel at the Tennessee Legislature, where the issue of human trafficking was explored by state leaders.

After End Slavery Tennessee helped with transportation and lodging in a Nashville trafficking case involving victims from Atlanta, Lori Tucker of Knoxville WATE TV Channel 6 came to cover the story and interview Derri Smith in September 2011.

  

The Contributor in Nashville wrote a September 2011 feature on human trafficking based largely on an interview with Derri Smith. (Sorry, no media link available.)

  

In November 2009, the Tennessee Radio Network carried an interview about human trafficking with Derri Smith, at that time working under a different organization. The network broadcasts to 78 stations statewide, plus three in Nashville. Ginny Ellsworth conducted the interview for a program called Music City Magazine.

  

In April 2009, Derri with our very first volunteer group leader Pax Weimers on a one-hour interview and call-in program on Channel 5 Plus in Nashville – at that time working under a different organization.
