Documentary: Selling the Girls Next Door

Investigated by: Amber Lyon

Emmy winning CNN Journalist, Amber Lyon investigates and reports on America’s ugly secret of selling children into sex trafficking.  She reports on the underage victims across the country that are sold for sex every day, including right here in Nashville, Tennessee.

The practice of girls soliciting on the streets is declining. Now, the World Wide Web is the go to shopping place for everything, including underage girls. Thirteen year old Selena tells her story of being trafficked multiple times in one day on a popular site. Selena, like many young girls, fell into  the trap as a runaway. 90 percent of runaways are approached by a trafficker within 48 hours.
