About Us End Slavery in Tennessee The End Slavery in Tennessee mission is to foster slave-free communities through prevention, education and community engagement. End Slavery in Tennessee is a volunteer-powered project under the direction of International Teams leaders, Bill and Derri Smith. International Teams is a Christian mission bringing people together to help the oppressed – the poor, the slave and the blind – with 1,200 workers worldwide who are passionate about... Bringing hope to the 34 million refugees searching for a new home. Evangelism and church planting where there is no community of faith. Affirming the dignity of the marginalized. Serving the greatest in the Kingdom who often suffer the most. Demonstrating the Good News of the Kingdom to victims of injustice. National and regional centers using leadership and administrative gifts. Training up next generation leaders.
This work in Tennessee is under leadership of the International Teams US office through Bill and Derri Smith. | 
Leaders The Tennessee work was started in late 2008 by Derri Smith and moved under the covering and encouragement of International Teams in March 2010. Now with an international as well as local focus, Derri is helping the International Teams US office infuse the issue of slavery into the ministry of 1,200 workers in over 60 countries. As always, Derri's husband, Bill, is an active member of the team, even as he continues his full time work in local hunger relief. International Teams has a rich and 
Derri Smith | solid 51- year history of service to vulnerable populations. Bill and Derri also served with International Teams overseas in the late 80s and early 90s, where refugees from Eastern Europe and other nations flooded refugee camps. Donations to support the local work should be designated to either to "End Slavery Tennessee" or to "ministry of Derri Smith." |
